Pastoral Transition

We are currently in a transition period between our previous pastor who served our church for more than 40 years and our future worship leader who we look forward to meeting. During this time, we, along with the Upper Spruce Creek Presbyterian Church, will be sharing an interim pastor through 2025 and into 2026. During this time the interim pastor will serve both churches and provide full pastoral duties to each.

Looking to the future, we will be searching for a full-time pastor, with an anticipated start date in 2026. We

Stay tuned for more information about our church and what we’re looking forward to as we transition into the future.

Who are we as a congregation?

Pine Grove Presbyterian Church is a warm, diverse, dynamic faith community with people of many ages and generations coming together to worship and serve together. We are firmly rooted in the biblical tradition and look forward to how the Holy Spirit leads us moving forward.

Pine Grove Mills is a small community in Ferguston Township, Pennsylvania. Located just outside of State College, the township has approximately 19,000 residents. Nestled at the base of the mountain in an otherwise rural area, we are only a few short hours from major urban areas such as Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York City, and Washington, D.C. While small, our community provides a cozy, small-town atmosphere, with all the amenities of a larger city nearby.  PGPC is particularly known within the community for providing services for those with food insecurity (Aunt Pat’s Pantry), sponsoring the local Cub Scout Pack 44, coordinating and hosting regular Town Talk gatherings, and several other events and activities.
